As Project Manager I was responsible for the introduction of a new 1480 nm pump laser product required to meet growing demand in the market. Working with all levels of the organisation and having a comprehensive understanding of the product and processes enabled me to accomplish and aggressive acceleration of an engineering development program and manufacturing setup.

My role of Associate Product Manager was pinnacle in coordinating activities between sales & marketing, operations and research & development. Responsible for 980 nm pump lasers and passive optical components, managing sales demands, product forecasts, production capacity and scheduling was key to me achieving product line revenues in excess of $100M and meeting operating goals.

The Precision Optical Connector line at Nortel Networks was one of the largest in the world fitting optical connectors to active devices. This high volume line had to ensure that the performance of the each active device was not degraded by its optical connector. As Process Engineer my role was to support daily production needs, maintain quality and reliability through process development and improvement. During this time I developed and implemented a custom designed laser processing system that resulted in the elimination of a process stage that improved throughput, production yields, product performance and quality.
