Founded in 1961 KEF has become a world leader in producing high-performance loudspeakers through continuous development and innovation. As International Product Manager I was responsible for the full life-cycle management of a number of loudspeaker products, from the limited edition £75,000 Muon to the highly acclaimed Q Series. Core to this role was the assessment of the business performance of each product and market conditions in order to take appropriate product action. During this time I successfully re-launched one of the company's core product lines, the Q Series, in time for the key selling season. This successful product launch required me to first understand the market needs to define the product requirements, and then form the bridge between engineering in the UK and production in China to develop the product. Finally, by working with the in-house creative department I was able to produce a complete communications kit of brochures, fact sheets, user manuals and PR material to support the product rollout in the four international markets and distributor networks.
