Having always had a passion to understand how things work and are made, studying for a BEng in electronics manufacturing was the perfect fit. The course covered a broad range of disciplines required to understand the challenges faced in modern business and manufacturing environments, with a specific focus on the electronics industry. Throughout the course each module concentrated on the skills and technologies required for the application of engineering materials and manufacturing processes needed to solve industrial problems.

In the subsequent years as a product manager the skills and knowledge gained during this course have proved, time and again, to be invaluable in building be bridge between engineering, marketing and business management. Through my understanding of how products are made I have been able to make informed product decisions relating to product design, manufacturing process, cost and quality.
